- and resources for mothers in business.
I strive to inspire and encourage other mothers and business owners through my posts, and help others in the journey of motherhood and working from home.
let’s talk a little bit about who I am..
As you assumed, my name is Jessie. I’m married to my husband Sam, and together we have three daughters, Charlie (6), Erin (4) , and Jolynn (1 in April)!
I am a stay at home wife and mother. Sam and I made this decision together, as we feel it is best to raise our children at home. I don’t want to miss them growing up. The ‘firsts’, the hugs and kisses, the laughs, the tears, the learning experiences. All of that is the most important thing to me as a mother.
I am so blessed to be able to be at home with the girls while they are growing up. These years are tender and precious, and will never be returned once they are gone, and I want to be able to witness everything.
I am a business owner and my own boss, thanks to this site. I work my tush off so that I am able to have that extra time and savings to be with my family, happily and comfortably. I am a self taught blogger, who has spent hours upon hours of research and learning through trial and error. Through this I have achieved goals that I did not even know were possible, and am always striving to become even better to share my knowledge with others.
this is our life…
My husband runs a trucking company, and often times the girls and I help move trucks/trailers/get parts. I love that I am able to work from home to not only be with my kids, but to also be on call to help him. It makes for a fun, fast paced life, but I love it.
We have a little farm property and a variety of animals/pets. 😉 They keep us busy but also bring us a lot of happiness and pride.
We live in the country in rural Nebraska, smack dab in the middle of corn and wheat fields, and grassy pastures filled with cattle. A traffic jam to us is when there are cattle being moved down the road, or a harvest crew moving to the next field.
We can see for miles, and hear nothing but the air. It’s quiet and peaceful.
We wouldn’t change this way of life for anything!
a few more interesting facts about me:
I’m obsessed with sunsets. Find my popular sunset pictures on Instagram.
I crochet in my spare time. It’s a stress reliever for me.
I’m a people watcher, and I love seeing how people act around others. It’s interesting.
I love anything chocolate, wine, and pasta. But I will never turn down a good steak and potato meal!
I’m unfortunately very impatient and can get annoyed very easily. I’ve heard it’s hereditary.
I like to get stuff done. I write a to-do list everyday.
I love to be outside, but I am not a fan of windy days.
I love road trips with my little fam bam. 🙂
now that you know me, let’s learn about this site!
The Jessie K was born from a former blog, Jessie Jo At Home. It was a cute little mom blog.
While at Jessie Jo At Home, I blogged for fun. It was more of a learning experience for me. At first it was a hobby blog, turned into a part time income, but nothing huge. I had fun with other mom bloggers in link ups and blogging parties.
After awhile, I felt like I had out grown Jessie Jo At Home. While I loved it and it was my pride, I felt like I could do more. I wanted a bigger and better platform, with richer content, and a professional standing. I knew I was ready to go to the next level of blogging. I learned new strategies and practices, and have spent months of researching and creating.
That’s where The Jessie K begins! I have completely rebranded, designed, and edited my entire site and content. I have plans and goals of BIG THINGS.
Be sure to find me on social media and say hi, and subscribe on my sidebar to never miss out on any blog updates. If you are new, visit the “Start Here” tab at the top of the page! Thanks for visiting! 🙂
