We live in a world today where you can make a full time income with an online job. The options are endless, and some are easier than others. Many people have no idea where to start though, and this is when I offer some useful tips!
The possibilities with this magical little tool called “the internet” are endless. Think of all the things you can do!
Now, if so many people and companies are using the internet’s abilities daily, and making money with it, then why can’t you have an online job?
I’ve heard so many people complain about today’s economy, or that they can’t find a job, or their job doesn’t pay enough. And all I want to say to them is, then create your own online job! It’s possible and it’s easy if you try hard enough.
7 Ways To Create Your Own Online Job
Blogs can create a huge income source if you utilize them in the right ways. Many blogs get paid by placing ads (Google and Amazon) on their site, becoming an affiliate with companies, reviewing products, getting paid to post articles, or even selling ad spaces for other bloggers on their site.
This part might sound easier than what it is, though. Before you can create an income stream on a blog you must have traffic, and lots of it! It takes most bloggers months or even up to a year to earn anything with their blog, but it is possible and very rewarding.
To make an income with a blog you will need loyal readers, passion and hours upon hours of hard work. But it’s possible!

On oDesk, you can get hired to perform multiple different online “jobs” by anyone. These jobs can range anywhere from design work, writing articles, social media managing, answering emails, or entering data.
It’s secure and professional and all work is done through the site’s time tracker, so you get paid for the work you do. After the job is completed and the company or person accepts it, you will get paid.
Textbroker is similar to oDesk, but it’s writing only. It’s a very simple process to sign up as a freelancer, and you can begin working right away.
You simply choose an article to write at a set price, complete it before the deadline, and get paid. When I first started working online I could write around 5-6 articles a day and they add up quickly! It’s a quick and easy way to make a part time online job.
If you even some what crafty, or have any antique items, you can make money on Etsy with them. I have sold many crochet items on Etsy for reasonable prices. Keep in mind that is costs .20 cents to list an item for sale, and when it does sell, Etsy will get a very small share of that price.
But either way, you can earn some extra cash… or you could turn it into a million dollar business!
5. Sell personal items on social media.
Facebook now has “For Sale” sites everywhere. Use this! I’m sure there is something in your home that doesn’t get used or isn’t needed anymore that someone would buy. Clothes and toys are easy ones to sell to other people and these add up the cash quickly!
Instagram is another easy social media platform that you can use to sell items. Many people even create new accounts that are solely for selling clothing from their closet. Then you can even have people bid on your items, giving you an even higher earning.
You might be thinking, “selling a few things on Facebook won’t make enough money for it to be a online job, though?”. Who says you can’t turn it into a job? Once you add up earnings from selling your own things, buy other people’s items, fix them up, and re-sell them for a higher price! I have watched it happen and you can do it.
If you do sell personal items on social media sites or even craigslist or ebay, keep in mind to protect yourself and your family. Meet in a public place that is not your home. Just be careful! 😉
6. Offer online services.
Think of any skills you have that involves the internet, computers, social media, designing…anything! If you can do it, chances are people will pay you to do it for them. You just have to find the right person or company that is hiring.
For example, I used to offer design services and re-designed many websites for bloggers, and often times the total price would add up to over $100 for one full design. So it’s very worth the time to do.
Also try offering to manage social media accounts. You would be surprised how much big companies will pay people to literally spend all day on social media, posting things under the companies name, just to keep their online presence and engagement up. These companies don’t have enough time to keep up with social media, but they have to do it for their companies sake, so they higher other people to do it for them. This is called virtual assisting. Of course you will need to be somewhat knowledgeable in this area as well, but it’s very doable.
Even if you are a fitness or health expert, think of how you can sell those services and knowledge to other people!
7. Become an online marketer.
You can find hundreds of thousands of ways to market a product online and sell it as a income. You can create your own product to sell or you can join direct sales companies. Before joining a direct sales company though, I would really recommend to do thorough research on the company to make sure it is credible and legit.
