I love Girl Scout cookies! Especially Thin Mints.
My kids and I could probably team up and tackle an entire box in one sitting. They are seriously so yummy! 😉
But I’m really trying to approach this year with a healthier stand point. We are really cutting back on sugars and processed foods.
Besides eating more fruit as snacks, I’ve also found a way to add in healthier options for “desserts”. One of my favorite ways is using a healthy dairy option plus adding in tasty protein mixes with essential oils! It tastes like a cookie, without the high sugar. Win!
Healthy Thin Mint Protein Smoothie
large scoop of ice
1 cup Hiland Dairy milk
1 scoop Pure Protein Complete Powder
3 drops Peppermint essential oil ( please only use a trusted source when using essential oils internally. They need to be high quality, first distillation, 100% pure therapeutic grade essential oils like these.)
Throw everything into your blender and blend until smooth! Don’t over blend though, or it will become frothy.
This is so yummy and most importantly healthy! I love to throw this together on days when we are stretched for time but still wanting something that we like and isn’t junk.
It’s so important that we (and our kids!) are getting enough protein. Using this powder is a great way to add in the extra protein we need without having that yucky taste. If you’d like to try some, feel free to message me or visit my page for more info.
