We all get in those funky moods sometimes. When you are in a sour mood, are negative towards other people, and really unhappy with everything around you.
But once you are in a bad mood it increases your chances to have a completely bad and horrible day.
Ain’t nobody got time for that.
It’s sometimes inevitable to escape a bad mood, but you can easily change it quickly and save your day from being ruined.
How To Reverse Your Bad Mood and Save You From Ruining Your Day
Target the problem.
What made you mad in the first place? Was it something that happened? Was it something someone said? Pin point the problem and face it, instead of continuing to dwell on it. Confront the person and let them know how you feel, that way your day isn’t ruined because of one little thing that was said. If it’s something that happened, find a way to fix it. Face the problem instead of pushing it under the rug for an excuse to be a debbie downer.
I’m going to tell you something. You ready?
You are in charge of your happiness and your moods. So if you are in a bad mood, you have the ability to change it in an instant. The problem is usually people don’t want to change it or they expect the happiness to just come to them. But you have to do it yourself. Find something happy. Play upbeat music and sing and dance to it. Eat something yummy. Look at pretty pictures. Read a good book. Look up funny videos.
Or simply force yourself to smile. Do whatever it takes to make you happy.
So many times when I feel a funky mood coming or I’m upset about something I almost instantly find time to do a good work out or go for a run. Once you get your body sweating think of it as you releasing all the bad thoughts, feelings, and energy. Like an emotional cleanse. You will feel better after your heart rate is up and you have spent time to get your mind off of whatever is bothering you.
Talk to someone who will make you happier.
We all have that one person who can make us smile, or make us laugh, or even give us a reality check. Talk to them. Tell them the problem and they will either help you through it or just make you laugh and feel better. Negativity is an attracted energy so don’t be a negativity spreader. Find the positive energy and take it in, then spread it to others. It’s a cycle.
Change of scenery.
If your mood is absolutely horrible and nothing is helping, remove yourself from the situation. Go for a walk in the park, or a drive through a scenic area. Sometimes all it takes is a fresh vision for our minds to take in instead of being in the environment that you got mad in the first place.
Picture yourself having a great day.
Like I said above, you are in charge of yourself and your moods. You don’t have to have a bad day if you don’t want to. We have bad days because we choose to let ourselves not change anything about our day to make it good.
So picture yourself having the best day ever. Think of where you would be, who you would be with and what you would be doing. Think of the emotions you would feel. Really think in deep detail about your feelings and what it would take to achieve those feelings. By doing this you will trick your mind to forget about what you are mad about and it will disintegrate the bad mood.
Think about everything that you are grateful for.
I often get in bad moods because of things I would love to have and it doesn’t happen or if things don’t go as planned. Even though some things are out of our control we just have to roll with it. We have to accept that sometimes things happen that we don’t want to. But if we think of everything we are grateful for, it sort of grounds us and reminds us that being upset over little things isn’t really needed.
I really believe that being grateful for what we already have in our lives will help us be humble and happy. When you feel gratefulness for what is in your life, you will send out positive energy to attract more to be grateful for. It’s part of the Law of Attraction, and I do think it has purpose behind it.
